| This stone lab, 1,35 cm (4.5 feet) high, 60 cm (2 feet) long and 22 cm (8.5 inches), with a snake carved in relief comes from Ggantija South. It is the only representation of a snake carved in relief. Yet on the threshold of the Mnajdra South Temple is a shape resembling this snake motif , formed from a mineral stone which the temple builders must have put intentionally as a threshold. |
