In trial combats Earl Cadfael is the chosen arbiter, since each Bretonnian Knight has an absolute faith in his fairness. Without doubt, Earl Cadfael could hold the Crown of Bretonnia.

His Baronato lies within the boundaries of my lands. Thus we pronounced an eternal pledge of alliance. He will assist me in the battles against the invaders of Quenelles.
