Three of the six 'stick' limestone statuettes found together at the Xaghra Circle. These three have the least detail from the group of six. The whole group gives an indication of some kind of ritual. There must have been a reason why the group, found together in a bunch, have different stages in their production. The average size of the six stick statuettes is 16 cm (6.3 inches) high, a thickness of only about 2 cm (0.8 inch) and about 5 cm (2 inches) wide at the 'shoulders'. No sexual features are indicated. |
