She comes from Johannesburg, in South Africa. Her father, Rodolfo, is of Trento and her mother, Gabriella, of Grosseto.

Before the Misss Italia nel Mondo titles, she have win "Look of the Year 1990" and "Miss Teenager South Africa 1989".Barbara speaks italian and english.

She was elected in 6 september 1991 to Salsomaggiore Terme. She was 17 years old she has defeat the others 16 contenders, selected in twelve Countries.

Barbara is a model and she work in Italy from 8 year between Rome, where she live, and Milan. She have worked in a television programm "Fantastica Italiana" for a model, and next for "Numero uno", "I cervelloni" e "In famiglia".

2003:
June 17, Barbara is in a tv-show of Mediaset "Velone".
